How many people lost their Iphone on New Year’s Eve
I did :(
Nothing can describe how quickly I sobered up when I realised that I had lost my phone. It was a New Year’s that I won’t ever forget. Since then I have swayed between thinking “Oh well it was only a material possession” to ” OMFG I’m totally ruined”
I was just started to work out this thing called Social Media and had all the apps and everything linked nicely. I also used it to shoot alot of my little shorts, I would edit on it, export and upload.
There’s nothing worse than paying for a contract on an Iphone for another 8 months that you don’t even have anymore. Actually, you could be paying off 2 lost Iphones and suspended by your carrier as one of my dear friends is currently experiencing.
Being on holiday didn’t help. Suddenly not being contactable, not having anyones numbers, not having FB, not being able to transfer funds etc, etc, etc.
I tried to dig deeper into the meaning of the separation and the answers did come. For a short while i started to appreciate not having my face stuck in a phone and being affected by its addictive forces. I started to notice how many people are on their mobile devices.
Its everywhere. Will we get to a point when we stop socializing in person? I saw a lot of people together but most of them were preoccupied on their phones. I enjoyed living in the moment and my children have enjoyed having me available.
To everyone else who lost there phone, I hope you have seen the secret message behind your loss and I hope you all get another one soon which will be well before I do.
